Since 2005, Malcolm has been actively involved in the majority of capital markets issues (both debt and equity) in respect of which the firm has acted as legal counsel.
Both in this area and in M&A assignments, Malcolm regularly advises on company law, (re-)structuring and corporate governance issues. He is also the partner responsible for the firm’s insurance, gaming, aviation, securitisation, pensions and Fintech practices, advising local and international clients on legal, regulatory, operational and licensing matters as well as related corporate and commercial and dispute resolution issues across various industry sectors.
Malcolm regularly acts as an examiner at the University of Malta and lecturer at the Malta Stock Exchange Institute, and is a speaker at seminars and conferences relating to his areas of expertise. He completed his law degree at the University of Malta in 2014, and was admitted to the bar shortly thereafter. Following his legal traineeship at Camilleri Preziosi and completion of his Masters in Corporate & Commercial Law which he read for at University College, London, Malcolm returned to the firm as an associate in 2005, and was admitted to partnership in 2013.
Malcolm occupies the role of company secretary of a number of companies listed on the Official List of the Malta Stock Exchange. He was appointed as the company secretary of Main Street Complex p.l.c. on the 11th April 2018.
